Peep REPORT

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No! It’s a PEEP! 5000 of them to be exact! Today was the LifePoint Findlay PEEP DROP ’09 and it was an overwhelming success – just about 2000 PEEPS (peoples) came to see those 5000ish PEEPS float down gently to earth from the helicopter above. It truly was a sight! I literally had tears in my eyes for the 1st drop - #1 because I couldn’t believe it was really happening, #2 the number of people that were there and #3 it was stinkin’ cold and the wind was blowing in my face :-P! It was a blast, went incredibly smooth and there's already many requests to do it next year!! THANK YOU to all the PEEPS from LifePoint and The Cube who volunteered to make this thang happen! YA'LL ROCK!!

On top of simply being IN the community, FIVE young PEEPS accepted Christ in the Child Evangelism Face-Painting Tent. Praise the LORD! And tomorrow is Easter - the day we recognize and remember (well, especially remember because we remember Jesus' resurrection EVERY day) that Jesus is not dead. Death did NOT hold Him down! He is ALIVE today and standing at the door of your heart waiting for you to let Him in. I've been thinking today of 2 Cor. 5:21 that says, "He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." Jesus lived a perfect life, yet went to the cross for my sin, my selfishness, my pride, my rebellion - so that I can a) have eternal life and fellowship with God the Father in heaven and b) live an abundant life and fellowship with the Father while here on earth. Jesus could've pulled a major, "IT'S NOT FAIR" but He loved us so much that he WILLINGLY and LOVINGLY laid down His life for you and for me. I've accepted His gift of salvation... won't you???

Here are some pictures of the festivities from today. Have a wonderful Resurrection Sunday wherever you are - may this be the DAY OF SALVATION for many across this land and the world!! May the Name of Jesus be PRAISED!
